Functional Coatings. Coating operations during converting are similar in principle to the on-machine and off-machine pigment coating operations carried out in the paper mill ... A common objective with functional non-aqueous coatings is to provide a barrier to water, water vapor, air, or grease. Typical coating materials include waxes, asphalt, lacquer, varnish, resins and adhesives.

Les produits de couchage sont des cires, du bitume, des laques, des vernis, des résines et des colles.
